Yes. Italian law strictly requires all participants in competitive trail running events to provide a valid sports medical certificate signed by a physician. We will provide you with the exact official template and step-by-step instructions well before your trip to ensure your submission is effortless.
How do race bib entries work for this trip? +
For events like the Dolomiti Extreme Trail (DXT), your guaranteed race bib entry is included directly in your trip package. For events operating on a lottery system (such as Lavaredo), runners register directly through the event organizers, and we handle all local logistics, race transfers, and strategy support.
What are your payment terms and schedule? +
To help you plan ahead while allowing us to lock in mountain accommodations, private transfers, and race logistics, we offer a simple 3-Stage Payment Plan:
- 1st Payment (At Booking): 30% deposit to lock in your spot.
- 2nd Payment (120 Days Before Departure): 35% of total trip cost.
- 3rd Payment (60 Days Before Departure): Final 35% remaining balance.
If booking within 60 days of the trip start date, full payment is due upon reservation.
What is your cancellation and voucher policy? +
Because we operate small-group boutique trips with non-recoverable commitments to local mountain lodges and transport partners, we do not issue cash refunds. However, if you need to cancel, we provide Future Tour Vouchers valid for 24 months toward any future trip:
- 120+ days before departure: 100% Tour Voucher for all payments made (minus non-refundable deposit and bib fees).
- 60 to 119 days before departure: 50% Tour Voucher for all payments made (minus non-refundable deposit and bib fees).
- Less than 60 days before departure: Non-creditable and non-refundable.
Comprehensive travel and search-and-rescue insurance is mandatory for all participants.
What flight times should I book for Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE)? +
Transfers from Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) to our opening hotel in Treviso are fully included and coordinated around guest arrivals.
To help us get everyone checked in smoothly before our Welcome Aperitivo and dinner, we recommend booking flights that land at Venice (VCE) between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Once you book your trip, simply send us your flight details, and we will coordinate your pickup window so you can settle in effortlessly.

Can non-running partners or family join the trip? +
Absolutely! Non-running partners are very welcome. They can enjoy our handpicked boutique hotels, spa facilities, rich northern Italian dining, and post-race celebrations. While you race, they can relax in the village, explore historic sights, or ride scenic cable cars up to high-altitude rifugios to cheer you on at key points along the route.
Is travel insurance required for this trip? +
Yes. All participants are required to hold comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure. Your policy must cover personal trip cancellation, medical expenses, and trail running / alpine mountain coverage in the event of an emergency on the trail.
